When you build a website or application through the Services, we additionally store the project's source files, environment variables (encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM), preview screenshots, and project snapshots in our object storage so the project can be resumed and exported. Some user-submitted image URLs are also proxied through our storage to provide stable, cached references.

Paid users' content is never used for AI training purposes under any circumstances.

If you are on the free tier and wish to opt out of your data being used for AI training, you may contact us at tryopencomputer@gmail.com with the subject line "AI Training Opt-Out." We will process your request within 7 business days.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers

We share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating our platform, including authentication and database hosting (Supabase), infrastructure hosting, payment processing, image search (SearchAPI), AI image generation (fal.ai), source-control and deployment integrations (GitHub, Vercel), and our standalone document export service for PDF, PPTX, and XLSX file generation. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, or investigate fraud.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Specifically:

  • Account and profile data is retained for the duration of your account

Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission using TLS/HTTPS
  • Secure data storage with access controls
  • Authentication via Supabase with hashed credentials
  • Regular security reviews and updates

Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Please see our Cookie Policy for full details.
